I know that all mothers think that there children are better than others, but I'm not the only one who thinks my kids are exceptional. I am a 21yr old mother of 3. I was recently diagnosed with bipolar disorder. My father has bipolar disorder (extream) along with his mother. And I was devistated to know that my children would more than likely end up with the same thing. But I never really put things togather until I read this article. My father is like a huge dictionary. He knows something about almost everything. I have also noticed my children having a very creative side. They seem to be very advanced in some areas. And all three of them have a very unique personallity. I also have a very creative side. So reading this article gives me more hope about their future as well as mine. Thank you for taking the time to write about something very few people know about. Continue to study this, and give hope to all of us that feel hopeless.

It is no coincidence that manic depressives are creative. Creative people are by nature more sensitive and highly perceptive, this is what enables them to create and to develop unique ideas. It is society which causes alot of the negative reactions and episodes in their lives, and which categorises and labels those inividuals as having a mental illness because it fears or doesnt understand them. Also the multi-billion making pharmaceutical companies play a big hand.
It is a vicious circle for these people and their families.
