I was one of these people who was incorrectly diagnosed with unipolar depression for over 10 years, before being properly diagnosed and put on medication 12+ years ago. When I was depressed, doctors put me on meds which helped the depression, but cause what I would later discover was hypomania and Bipolar II. This basic issue is that Hypomania "feels good" so I didn't think there was a problem. I have cronicled many of my experiences on my blog - The Bipolar CEO - http://www.bipolarceo.com

The above findings on unipolar disorder are very beneficial.I think that I am a uni)polar person because I have never experienced mania when I don't take meds.but when I start taking meds,I do experience mania.

The problem with bipolar or uni-polar disorders is that they develop a kind of doubt in the subject i.e. the patient moves from mania to depression.the patient always wonders if the meds will be of any use.
