Shadows of doubt

Postby caw13 » Thu Oct 15, 2009 3:56 pm

Thoughts honed to points uncertain
gently gash the mind within.
Curse-ed light uninvited
streams in scratching across the floor

Tattered rays stretching for unkempt corners
reveal shadows racing to their bitter end.
Dust erupts from falling vision
awaken darkness's affliction
echoes twisting in the wind
veil tangled silence within

Hanging from a twisted thread
the lies of compromise
decorate the shroud of fate
spiraling down the well again

Fearsome forms crash forgotten walls
conceal hope's repressed struggle
of what lies in wait
a vicious memory of an unwritten end
the pounding heart of remission
waits expectantly at the door

Well done - I can picture those images.
Lately I'm so tired of waiting for you
to say that it's okay.
Tell me please...
Would you one time let me be myself
so I can shine
with my own light.
Let me be myself.
