journey's end

Postby Zooie » Tue Oct 06, 2009 11:31 pm

Oh please dear guardian angel, please give me your hand,
And help me again out of this abyss that I'm in.
I fell too far this time, I can't climb my way out,
I desperately need help to climb up to land.

Now that I'm on the surface,
Lying helpless on the ground,
The sky is dark, the leaves are gone,
Not even a bird to make a sound.

Like an abandoned and injured animal,
I lie wounded and helpless and lost.
Bleeding and hungry and lost in a world
That turns away and cares not at all.

I've picked myself up oh so many times before,
Somehow finding strengh, the will to endure.
But my will is wearing thin, my mind growing weary,
Journey's end is getting near now, alas, to suffer no more.

Nice
Please, would you one time
let me be myself
so I can shine with my own light.
Let me be myself...

That's all I ever wanted from this world,
is to let me be me.

Dear Zooie, Please find a way to recharge your batteries. I went to a Red Hat lunch at Coco's today and that helped me a lot. Maybe a visit with your neighbors?.....Lois

*batteries recharging* thanks for the nudge Spirit, I need to get out more. But, alas, the dark poetry is just a part of me, my way of venting I guess. Things are looking up tho. Thanks again.
