Dark Misery

Postby Zooie » Wed Dec 30, 2009 8:33 pm

The darkness creeps in like wind through a drafty window
Surrounding my body with its icy fingers.
Satan's clawed hands rip the bloody innards of my soul to shreds.
My mind lies in a pool of sorrow, ripples washing away my sanity.
Blind carcasses lie strewn about my weak field of awareness,
Reminding me that fettering hopelessness can lead to decay and death.
Devastating mysery sends resounding negative signals through my tortured brain.
Nothing to do but wait, until the demons retreat, once again I'll rise from the darkness.
Please let it be soon, I lie drowning in sorrow and gloom, please let it be soon.

I can relate...
Please, would you one time
let me be myself
so I can shine with my own light.
Let me be myself...

That's all I ever wanted from this world,
is to let me be me.
