The Bipolar Workbook

Postby Jilliebean » Sun Nov 19, 2006 5:26 pm

hey all,
been awhile but i have found my absolute "bible" for bipolar. it is called the bipolar workbook, by monica ramirez basco. she has a phd and the book is chalk full of work pages and cognitive therapy. i am left to do alot of self help stuff wiht the doctor here, and this book has been sooo useful that i have recreated alot of the pages in mword. i suggest reading it. its alot of information i definately felt drained after some chapters but its all worth being better.

I'll have a look for it, thanks Jilliebean! I love anything that I can work with during my own time. I won't be seeing my therapist again until the 10th of January (they're employed by the Student Services department of my College, and the whole place closes down soon until early January.) I also have a support group that I go to once a week, and it's been phenomenally useful to be a part of, but for those times when I've got something going on and need to sort through it, things like what you described would be very helpful.

hi I have seen this on chapter site but had no idea if anyone -any real bipolar- read it and found it useful! I think the comment pages on the sell-stuff-sites are there to sell the junk and so... I am going in circles sorry...

Thank you for the comments... I also looked at Bipolar Breakthrough; The Essential Guide to Going Beyond Mood Swings. by Ronald R Fieve a psychiatrist. pub by Rodale books and coming out Sept 15 2009. Any ideas ???
if you are going to cross thin ice, might as well dance your way across...
